Mothers Day in Shanghai

Mothers Day is another one of these adopted holidays celebrated in China, it is still mostly a western celebration where many restaurants offer an American style brunch. The day was wonderful, bright blue skies, nice breeze with temperatures around 80. We were invited to brunch by a colleague of ME's. It was just the two families but before the weeks end we added several other Dow folks for a total of 11 people. The restaurant called Kafer, is a German restaurant located right on the Huangpu river with great views of The Bund. It is just a 20 minute walk from our apartment along the river promenade leading into the heart of the financial district.  An all you eat and all the champagne you can drink for a set price, so we made the most of it and stayed for almost 4 hours. A nice walk home and a nap was in order after the meal. Below are some pictures.
